A home bears the soul of its inhabitants’ values, beliefs, lifestyle & the bond that strings them together. Lively chatter, laughter & the humdrum of loved ones. This appropriately encapsulates the atmosphere of this home.

An abode that radiates love, warmth & a palette of ethnic classicism for the Shah family at Andheri Mumbai, that resonates with the ideals of a traditionally contemporary dwelling.

A penchant for traditional elements sewn into the premise of a contemporary setup is the skin & bones of this home. The living room is a flowing space composed of two genres of seating style, one formal & the latter an Indian themed seating arrangement the ‘Baithak’. The passageway adjoining the Kitchen area entrance is adorned by a brass chandelier suspended from a Silver Leaf dome. Its intricate filigree pattern casts a majestic play of shadows across the passageway through the day.

The core requirements for the apartment’s design parameters encompassed 4 ensuite Bedrooms with the fourth being a Guest Room, a capacious Living Room, Dining Area, a generous Kitchen space & a Media Room. What took the project’s level of complexity a notch higher was that it was an aggregate of 4 units of 1 BHK apartments. The design hence conceived indicated the onset of major civil work & allocation of services that followed suit. All walls except the external ones were taken down & the entire spread of 3500 sq. ft saw a major spatial reconfiguration.

The Daughter’s Bedroom is a serene escape in teal, layered with a Neo-Indian aesthetic that blends modern design with cultural charm. Subtle traditional patterns, handcrafted accents, and brass highlights bring warmth, while clean-lined furniture adds a contemporary touch—creating a space that feels both rooted and refreshing.

The Son’s Bedroom brings together masculine minimalism with a hint of Asian influence. A rich palette of neutrals, sleek furniture, and Zen-inspired elements shape a calm, sophisticated environment. Metal accents and smart functionality ensure the space is stylish yet practical.
